Cardiovascular and Bone Health

Heart disease remains the leading cause of death for women, but the approach to prevention has changed.

  • Sex-Specific Screening: Because heart attack symptoms in women (fatigue, nausea, jaw pain) differ from men, 2026 diagnostic tools are specifically calibrated to detect microvascular disease common in females.

  • Bone Density (Osteoporosis): Bone health is now prioritized much earlier in life. Strength training and high protein intake are promoted as "muscle-bone medicine" to prevent the rapid bone loss that occurs after menopause.
